Planning with a Last Will
Every adult should consider having a last will and testament. Beyond stating who receives your property upon your death, a last will and testament also establishes who is in charge of paying your debts and expenses. If you have minor children, your last will and testament should also specify who should serve as guardian of your children as well as who should manage your children’s inheritance until they become financially responsible. A will can establish a testamentary trust to manage funds for minor children, financially irresponsible adults, or persons with disabilities. We can help you consider and plan for contingencies you might not otherwise consider, such as what happens if your children predecease you.
